We had the pleasure photographing Karen and Edward’s Wedding at Brier Creek Country Club, located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Although, they currently live and work in Washington DC, they decided to come home to North Carolina for their wedding.
This certainly made the consultations unique! However, through Facebook messenger we made it work.
We met Janet at the Forever Bridal Show when she was looking for a locally operating Raleigh wedding photographer.
We like to have the opportunity to meet with our clients face to face so we can learn more about their plans for their wedding day.
Although we were unable to meet Karen and Edward themselves until the engagement shoot this April, we were able to speak with Karen virtually through video calls as well as get to know them second hand through the eyes of Karen’s mother.
Unlike the cold and rather wet weather conditions of our engagement shoot, the big day was full of sunshine and the characteristic North Carolina heat, through which the happy couple remained unshaken.
In fact, Karen and Edward are one of the most connected couples I have ever had the pleasure to meet.
Although it is heartening to see, they have significant family support, it is clear they are comfortable leaning on one another.
Once the formal ceremony had come to a close and after they performed a choreographed first dance.
Then, Karen changed into a beautiful traditional Chinese outfit.
It was a joy and a privilege to document the coming together of these two families to celebrate the happy couple.
Here are just a few of beautiful moments we had the honor of capturing over the course of Karen and Edward’s big day.
