Duke Chapel is such a beautiful backdrop for engagement pictures, and it’s where we photographed Molly Gentile & Bobby Gagnon, one of our Bella Collina Mansion couples.
They’re a fun couple and their engagement pictures shows how connected and in love they are.
Tell us more about yourselves. How did you meet? How long have you been together?
We’ve been together for just over a year. Last New Year’s Eve (2020) we met a bar in downtown Greensboro and immediately hit it off. For our first date, we took our pups to the dog park and then grabbed a drink at Boxcar…and the rest is history! 🙂
Describe your engagement. Was the proposal a big surprise?
We went to Asheville to celebrate New Year’s and visit the Biltmore Christmas Light exhibit. We spent the afternoon sipping wine at the Biltmore Winery, walked around the grounds, and then took a beautiful candlelight tour of the mansion. After the tour, we walked over to the secluded terrace that overlooks the mountains. Bobby got down on one knee and popped the question (and of course I said yes)!

Tell us a little about your wedding planning experience.
After researching venues in North Carolina, we fell in love with Bella Collina. It was actually the only venue that we saw in person, and we immediately knew it was our place. We spend a lot of time on the lake, so the views of Belews Lake are perfect.
Bella Collina has also made the planning experience fantastic and so easy! We were able to meet with and choose most of our vendors during the Day Of Interviews, and we were able to do our tastings for catering and the cake. Bella Collina’s list of preferred vendors in BOSS system, also made it easy for us to find our officiant, transportation, and minister — and my makeup artist was a recommendation by Photos by Clay!
We try to photograph our couples where it’s local for them, that’s why we decided for Duke Chapel for their engagement pictures.
